Admission into our undergraduate program is annual. Applicants who took the UTME are admitted into 100 Level 4-year degree program provided they satisfy other requiremets:
Senior Secondary Certificate (SSCE), General Certificate in Education (GCE) Ordinary Level, National Examination Council (NECO), or National Board Board for Technical Education (NABTEB). Credit passes in at least five subjects, two of which MUST be in English language and Mathematics obtained in not more than two sittings.
Teacher Grade II Certificate with Credit/Merit passes in at least five subjects, one of which MUST be in English language, obtained at not more than two sittings and a pass in Mathematics.
Candidates with ABU Diploma, Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) and National Certificate in Education (NCE) recognised by the university will be admitted into 200 level.
A student in the Department requires a minimum of 120 credit units to graduate for students admitted at 100 level and 90 credit units for those admitted at 200 Level. For a full-time, student, at least 12 credit units of core and elective courses must be registered for, during each semester. These credit units are earned from assessments of exams based on lectures, laboratory/project work, as well as field components of the Programme. Two field courses of one credit unit at the 300 level and two credit units at the 400 level of study to satisfy the requirements for professional field experiences are offered to the students as core requirements for graduation.
