History of the Department

Teacher education is the priority concern of DASSE which is anxious to produce the teachers needed to expand Nigerian secondary education and teacher training colleges. Manpower needs in the area of qualified professional teacher production will be met by training students who are to hold positions in administration and academic fields after graduation. While training and conducting research in educational methodologies, the Department yearns for and makes/creates cultural, linguistic, political, religious and intellectual opportunities to enable it closely follow and fully participate in globalization as the new world civilization.
